These reusable stainless steel base molds are for use in histology for biopsy. They have extended sides to prevent tipping, provide a great gripping surface for better handling, and to fit with our embedding cassettes for holding paraffin and tissue samples. These molds are available in five different sizes for various uses.

Electron Microscopy Sciences Thompson Monolayer Embedding Mold
This mold used for embedding mammalian cells in monolayer culture in preparation of sectioning for light or electron microscopy. Tissue culture monolayer embedding molds eliminate the need for traditional BEEM capsules. The improved molds can be used to transfer the majority of cells from the entire surface of a cover slip to avoid losses of large amounts of cellular information occurring only randomly. In addition, other problems such as surface blemishes caused by air entrapment associated with BEEM capsules are eliminated.

These tear away molds are useful for most epoxy and acrylic resin embedding media and for paraffin waxes. Especially suited for use with paraffin. These molds may be used under anaerobic conditions. Electron Microscopy Sciences CoreDish™ Multiple Biopsy Containers Prostate 12 Compartment
Multi-compartment containersin the shape of a dish are half prefilled with 10% neutral buffered Formalin and used for holding and transporting biopsies. It is supplied with a leak-proof closure with O-ring ensuring total protection of contents. It conforms to OSHA directives. They measure only 15 mm H x 95 mm diameter. Each compartment is clearly identified to allow proper placement and visualization of the biopsy being inserted.
No longer necessary to use a multiple of individual containers, thereby reducing cost and risks of confusion. A label allows recording the related information, patient ID, doctor, date and time.
